What is liquid glass nano-coating?

Liquid glass nano-coating is a newly developed liquid thermal insulation for glass, providing an effective and affordable alternative to double glazing and window film. This incredible product can transform ordinary glass into high performing insulated glass.

How much solar energy does a glass nano-coating block?

Based on 6mm clear float glass, it can reject a total solar radiation of up to 95% of infrared radiation, 99% of ultraviolet radiation and just 13% of visible light transmission.

How simple is the installation process?

Our Thermal Glass Liquid Nano-Coating can easily be applied on nearly any glass window surface. Similar to our Advanced Static Nano-Films, our experienced technicians can install up to 20sq/m per person, per day! This means the average home can be comfortably completed within a single day.

Does liquid nano-coating block sunlight, making my room appear darker?

No. The visible light transmission may only drop up to 13%. For example, based on 6mm thick clear glass: before coating, the normal visible light transmission is 88% and after coating is 75%. Hence our liquid nano-coating maximises sunlight, but only blocks harmful infrared and ultraviolet radiation.

What’s the internal temperature difference when using thermal glass coatings?

In summer our coatings reduce the transmission of heat into homes. On average, our Thermal Glass Liquid Nano-Coating can reduce interior temperatures by approximately 5-10°C.

What is the durability of your product?

Our Thermal Glass Liquid Nano-Coating has a similar composition to glass. After chemically bonding to the glass upon application, it won’t peel, bubble or blister from the glass surface. Our Advanced Nano-Film is static, so it does not need glue or water and can be removed if required. All of our thermal glass coatings are provided with a 10 year warranty.  

What is the thickness of nano-coatings and nano-films?

The thickness of our Thermal Glass Liquid Nano-Coating is an average of 7 microns, while our Advanced Static Nano-Film is approximately 40 microns thick.

Are nano-coatings fire resistant?

Yes, all our thermal glass coatings are combustion resistant and do not contribute to fire risk.

How do you clean thermal glass coatings?

You may wash the window by using a soft cloth and mild detergent as normal. Please do not use any acidic or alkaline detergent.

How much can I save on my energy costs?

Depending on the thermal glass coating in use, studies have shown that some thermal glass coatings can help reduce heating and cooling costs by 25-35% compared with regular windows.
